You can use either of the two following methods to upgrade Microsoft Retail Management System Headquarters 1.x to Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System Headquarters 2.0.
Method 1
This method applies to Headquarters users who typically have 2 to 10 stores in a small geographical region. Depending on the distance between the stores and the number of lanes at each store, you may instead choose to use method 2. Method 2 is more complex than method 1. However, method 2 can reduce the time during which stores cannot connect to Headquarters.
Method 2
This method applies to Headquarters users who typically have more than 10 stores in a large geographical region. Depending on the distance between the stores and the number of lanes at each store, you may instead choose to use method 1. Method 1 is not as complex as method 2. However, method 1 may increase the time during which stores cannot connect to Headquarters.
