If you are interested in computer hardware and are looking for a lucrative position with plenty of room for advancement, then a Cisco CCNA Certification may be the your first step into a life-long career of challenging opportunity.
First of all, what is Cisco? Cisco Systems, Inc. is an international company that sells and designs networking and communication equipment and services under the following names: WebEx, IronPort, Linksys, Scientific Atlanta, and lastly as Cisco.
CCNA stands for Cisco Certified Network Associate. This is the certificate indicates the candidate possesses apprentice level knowledge of networking. This certificate allows the operation and installation of a variety of networks under 100 nodes or less. These networks include dial-up access, LAN, and WAN.
The training course offers a variety of different networking protocols that may include, Serial, IP, IGRP, Frame Relay, IP, RIP, VLANs, Access Lists, and Ethernet. The CCNA Prep Center Pilot offered by Cisco includes sample questions along with the laboratory practicals and e-learning modules.
Cisco offers an online CCNA training certification program. This program offers you the same knowledge, value, and skill that is earned in a classroom CCNA course. This program is nationally recognized. The CCNA course also includes training on switched LAN Emulation networks.
Cisco router configuration is the focus of the CCNA online training. This knowledge is correlated to the exam objectives for the 640-80 Cisco Exam.
The course is broken up into two sections. The first is "Introduction to Network Engineering” that gives you the general comprehension of the different aspects of network engineering. It covers the fundamentals, network data theory and discusses the current technologies.
The second section is "Practical Network Engineering". This is the more in-depth approach to the more robust networking technologies. A good portion of the time is spent working with Cisco brand routers, firewalls and switches in a simulated environment.
One caveat of CCNA training is that the certificate is valid for three years. After those three years, the candidate needs to be recertified. You need to take the current certification CCNA certification test or pass the ICND (Internet Content Delivery Network) exam, or the 642 professional level examination. |
