Consider the following scenario. You try to distribute a campaign activity by using the E-mail via Mail Merge functionality in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 client for Microsoft Office Outlook. When you do this, you may experience the following symptoms:
•The e-mail message correctly appears in the Sent Items folder in Microsoft Outlook.
•The e-mail message does not contain a Microsoft Dynamics CRM tracking token.
•The e-mail message is not created in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
•The status of the campaign is Canceled.
•You receive an error message that resembles the following error message in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform trace:
[date time] Process:iexplore |Thread:1052 |Category: Unmanaged.Platform |User: PlatformUser |Level: Error | CMailMerge::OnMailMergeBeforeMerge File: c:t21srcapplicationoutlookaddinmailmerge.cpp Line: 930>hr = 0x800a1735
Note Similar problems may also occur when you try to use other mail-merge functionalities in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook to distribute other types of activities.
