Error message when you save a sales order, an invoice, or a quote that contains a negative value in the Quantity box or in the Price Per Unit box in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

In Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, when you save a sales order, an invoice, or a quote that contains a negative value in the Quantity box or in the Price Per Unit box, you may receive an error message.
For example, if the Quantity box contains a negative value, you receive the following error message:
The following error occurred: Invalid Quantity.
If the Price Per Unit box contains a negative value, you receive the following platform error message:
Server Error in '/' Application.
<description>The price per unit is invalid.</description>
<details>'priceperunit' value of less than zero is not valid.</details>
