Error message when you try to start Store Operations Manager or when you try to update the status of a blind closed batch: "Server Failure 131: A server failure occurred while attempting to read the current batch"

Symptom 1
When you try to start Store Operations Manager, you may receive the following error message:
Server failure 131: A server failure occurred while attempting to read the current batch.
Symptom 2
You try to update the status of a blind closed batch in Microsoft Retail Management System Store Operations 1.3 or in an earlier version. When you try to select Enter Opening Amount, Enter Closing Amount, Generate X Report, or Generate Z Report, you receive the following error message:
Server failure 131: A server failure occurred while attempting to read the current batch.
Note You may also receive one of the following error messages.
Error message 1
Invalid Operation 405: The closing amounts have not been entered.
Error message 2
Invalid Operation 418: The opening amounts have not been entered.
Symptom 3
You try to update the status of a blind closed batch in Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System Store Operations 2.0 Manager. When you select Enter Opening Amount or Enter Closing Amount, there are no tender types displayed or not all the tender types are displayed. You may also receive the following error message:
Server failure 131: A server failure occurred while attempting to read the current batch.

•Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System Store Operations 2.0
•Microsoft Retail Management System Store Operations 1.3
