NotesMSDE limits the size of a database to 2.1 GB. Should a user ever reach this limit or choose to upgrade to SQL Server 2000 for other reasons, the following information will guide them through this process. The following information was taken directly from the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 325023. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000) is a data engine that is built on and is based on core SQL Server technology.
