When I put a transaction description on a document in a subsidiary module, does it post to General Ledger? Can I see this descriptions on reports?

•Microsoft Business Solutions–Great Plains General Ledger, when used with:
  Great Plains Dynamics 6.0
  Great Plains eEnterprise 6.0
